Hello! Ill be having surgery soon and just picked up my meds. The pharmacist warned me not to take the Gabapentin and Tramadol prescribed for my surgery together due to potential for an adverse reaction. Im allergic to Bactrim, so no muscle relaxers due to the sulfa. Is it common to take Gabapentin and Tramadol and should I be worried about a potential side effect?
Today I went to my 2 week pre op and found out that my doctor doesn't prescribe narcotics unless that combo doesn't work, the celebrex and Gabapentin... . I'm unsure about it and need more opinions about that combo because I am scared to death that I'm going to be in pain after surgery. The only anesthesia he uses threw the surgery is need to put you asleep.
I went in for another checkup again since my nerve pain has been so bad. They have me a prescription for Gabapentin, just stared it, lets hope this helps! By the way, morning boob as Ive heard people call it before is so painful! I love my results however just had no clue Id have this pain
How long can I expect the incisions (under breast) to be sore? My dominate is pretty sore but no swelling, redness, or heat coming from it. I was given Gabapentin but DO NOT want to take that anymore. I know I can take Tylenol but anything else I can do to help maybe alleviate that? 1 week post op. Also don't want to take the 4000 mg per day of Tylenol she said I can take. My stomach wasn't handling that very well! Thanks!
I had a breast augmentation 17 days ago and I am still experiencing quite a bit of pain and discomfort. I am due back at work this week as a district nurse but don't feel ready yet am I being over dramatic about it? I am still not going a lot of normal everyday tasks as they hurt. Could I take gabapentin for the pin pricking type pain ? I feel quite low in mood wil this get better?
I had significant pain post-op despite exparel. I was been given Percocet 5, Valium 5, and gabapentin. My PS called to check on me the night of day 2 and he called in toradol, and refills of the Valium and gabapentin which were very helpful. He gave me a new script for Percocet the next day too. Thing is, I have three children, one of whom is disabled and I'm still in pain not managed by Tylenol. Is it unreasonable to ask for a refill of the Valium, toradol, gabapentin, and maybe a Tylenol 3?
