2 months PO Brachioplasty; a week ago a quill suture popped out of the botton of my arm pit incision and got stuck. It was agonizing; hurt TERRIBLY, but it did come out. I feel other sutures trying to poke through the upper part of the incision but aren't quite there; should I go back to my surgeon before my next appt (in about a month) or wait to see if they pop out? They are right at the surface. I'm afraid they'll be more painful quill sutures.
I am 7 weeks out of Bracioplasty.. My arms are still tight, tender & fluid retention in inner elbows & also developing keloids. Ive been reading on scar or arm massage. Can you send a video or explain the correct way to do massage without aggrevating the condition. Also is it too early to start massage therapy?
Hi, my surgery was 7 weeks ago. My right forearm hurts, I can stretch my arm completely but it hurts when I do.. like it is pulling from the wrist to the elbow (inner part). Also, I bought a compression garment and it feels comfortable on the upper and lower side of arm but in the middle seems to press and it makes this pain worse. Do you think maybe it is too tight? or should I just wear it until I get used to it? Thanks.
My incisions started out thin and a whitish color. This past week it seems the incisions have gotten thicker, they look irritated and red. I have been using Skin Medica Scar Gel prescribed by PS, and massaging at least daily. Is this normal? Do I need to be concerned?
I have noticed that my arm lift scars are much wider than any other scars from surgery including my breast reduction and lift. I am 9 weeks out and still in a compression garment. I also still have one arm noticeable larger than the other which concerns me but the doctor says wait and see. I see him in 2 months. I realize things take time but I would like to have presentable scaring by short sleeve weather in the deep south.
Is this normal for the dr to go to the back of my arms? I had the arm lift with a tummy tuck 7 weeks ago, he didnt really say where it would end in our consult just that he would take the majority of it off and it would go into the arm pit, I dont mind that it goes to the back but it has left pretty big dog ears and I havent seen any other arm lifts done like this, he said he could remove them at 3 months if Im all healed if not we wait till 6 months, just want to see if this is common
I had a brachioplasty done a little over 2 months ago and it still hurts. Some days are worse than others. My arms still feel sore, I have shooting pain at times, and it sometimes feels like little pins sticking me. I saw the doctor about this. He said I should not be in pain still and there is nothing he can do. Is there anything that can be done or anything I can take to releave the pain? Also, since the doctor said I should not be in any pain still, I'm wondering why it still hurts.
I have a large, rock hard fat necrosis above elbow in L arm. Surgeon believes my compression garment was too tight. I also have open, but healing, spots along incision. Doc says he'll do a revision once inflammation subsides since skin will probably be stretched out. I'm so disappointed. Does that sound reasonable that fat necrosis can be caused by compression garment? It was really tight on L arm especially. Doc said he removed more from L arm. R arm is also still numb and swollen but less so.
I had brachioplasty 10 weeks ago and have a horrible scar on one arm and significant indentations making the arm look out of proportion from elbow to axilla. To make things worse there is still significant skin that I feel like should have been removed. Am I wrong to think that not enough skin was removed? What can I do about the scar and the indentions? Will this need to be redone?
