Diagnosed with Pyoderma Faciale in 2015, was put on Accutane for a year (I took my max.) It calmed my face down from when I initially came in but by 2016 my acne bumps were not cleared and still are not to this day. I have flares to where they get worst than the picture, but this is what it normally is. Bumps all over my face, very dry, very sensitive (I can only use products with natural ingredients.) Face is sometimes itchy and sometimes get eyelash dandruff (?). I can not see a derm.
I have bad persistent back and chest acne - painful big itchy yellow heads mainly and I had amazing results post accutane both times but after a year it all came back & same timeline for my second round. Im feeling so lost Im not sure what else I can do as I dont really want to go on accutane a third time as I fear more dangerous long term affects as a result putting my body through it again. Any help would be amazing Ive already tried everything but Im willing to try again or new things.
I've been on accutane for 2 months and a half now with moderate reoccuring cystic acne, but i see no difference, my skin is not dry at all and just less oily. I weigh 125lbs and i'm 178cm I took 30mg for the first month then 40mg and now started 60mg as my dermatologist was concerned i wasn't dry and i am still getting new pimples maybe 5 times a week, like before. . I'm wondering if Accutane may not be working for me and whether i should continue as its very costly for me.
Ive suffered from acne since I was 11, I am 28 now and have been on abx, countless creams, spiro, birth control, accutane, everything. Accutane I took when I was 21 that seems to be the only thing that ever worked. However over the past couple years my acne is coming back even while being on birth control and spiro. I really want to go on accutane again bc I cannot stand this acne anymore. Im wondering if a second course of accutane would be beneficial for me.
Am 29 yrs old and I had good skin previously. But since I took a birth pill my face has just flared up and become very greasy. Iam right now on 30 mgs of accutane ( am 53 kilos ) and it's been 2 and half months. Haven't seen any improvements. Rather there's more scarring and breakouts evryday.
I am a 34 year old female on a 60 mg a day, 5 month course of Clarvis (Accutane) for moderate rhinophyma on my cheeks and nose. I just finished my second month of treatment and have not noticed any improvement. In fact, the rhinophyma on my nose has spread and become more noticeable. Should I stop taking Clarvis? Does it take longer to work on rhinophyma? If I continue with this course of treatment, when will I see results?
Like nearly every blog I've read, I've tried everything for my acne, and now have decided on Accutane. I am taking 80mg a day, which is a high dose for my weight of 125lbs. I do not have cystic acne, but stubborn superficial acne on my face and back. I am half way through my 4th month, and have only seen mild results. I saw my derm today, desperate to know why I have not had better results. He decided to extend the drug to 6 months, but I am discouraged that I will not respond. Thoughts? Advice?
Been off accutane for months and my acne is coming back. Is it possible to take my leftover 40 mg dose once a day like I have been? I have quite a bit leftover Bc my physician gave me the option of taking once or twice daily
