Hi hen786,At 3 days post septoplasty, you can smile and laugh as much as you want (lol). The reason why you feel tightness at 3days post-op is because this is usually the time when maximum swelling comes, but your recovery shouldn't be affected by laughing.

Not necessarily. If the headaches themselves are caused by the bone spur impacted into the side wall of the nose, removal of the bone spur will cure the sinus related headaches. These are not migraine type headaches.
