I got my ear surgery 5 days ago. Two days ago I got my big bandage off. After I got my bandage off and replaced it with elastic headband, I noticed on both ears some fluid under the skin, like two small bags. It's not painful but I can definitely feel something underneath. I sent these images to my surgeon and he told me it's nothing to worry about and if they don't go away in 7 days come and see him. But from what I understand, if it's hematoma, 7 days is a long time to wait, right?

It would be better to see your surgeon in person so that they may assess it, rather than sending photos.

There is no way to tell for certain from a photo, but your pictures are very concerning for fluid accumulation below the skin.  This may be blood (hematoma) or a serum (serous fluid).  In any case, though, you need to contact your surgeon as soon as possible to be seen and evaluated.  This can be drained in the clinic, but if left in place can lead to pain, infection, and even scarring that can alter your outcome.  Please contact your surgeon.
