Can otoplasty make my ears bigger and make them higher up on my head? I know it can fix lop ear but I've never heard of ear enlargement or making them higher. My glasses won't stay up because they're too low down my head and they look ridiculously small. They're not missing any folds, just small and lopped. My right ear is further back and higher set than my left ear, can otoplasty make my ears look more similar and stick out less? My ears aren't only unattractive— they're DEFORMED.

During an otoplasty, the desired position of the ears is always over corrected, The reason of this is because with time they move a little outward again to settle in their final place. Don't worry on how they look now, give them some time, trust your doctor.
In the first instance I would recommend seeing your surgeon. This is called skin necrosis and is caused by excess pressure or tension on the cartilage. Your self treatment is right, it will eventually heal but you have to make sure that you do not get an infection of the exposed cartilage. ...
Your ears should look pretty normal a week after surgery. If the rim doesn't improve, it is possible to correct, but would wait about 3 months to from surgery to give your ears every chance to improve withut additional surgery.
