Can otoplasty fix my deformed ears? (Low set, small, lopped, uneven sticking out ears)

Hello,Drastic changes can be made with an otoplasty procedure. You can definitely have them stick out less. As for asymmetry, this can be slightly corrected in some cases. My recommendation to you is to seek in person consultations with Board Certified Plastic Surgeons in your area to find out what is right for you. Correcting deformed auricles (ears) (not just protruding ears) can be very challenging.  If the top half of your ears (scapha and or helix) are "folding over", there are procedures to correct this and gain additional height and enlargement of the ears.  Patients that have missing units of their ears can have correction with various procedures.  When newborn infants have these problems, we often can correct or improve the deformities with non surgical molding techniques if seen within the first several days of birth.
However, if your ears are small and are low set, a conventional otoplasty procedure will most likely not correct the problem.
