Is 19 Too Young for Liposuction on Thighs?

Question

I am 19 years old and i've already lost a ton of weight. I am 5'5" and currently weigh 135 lbs. The problem i am having is that no matter what all my life i've had large thighs, hips, and butt, which have all been hereditary from family regardless how much i work out, plus i come from a family that is obsessed on eating healthy. I have been seriously considering liposuction in order to shape the areas but my mom thinks i'm too young, i want a professional opinion to see if its worth it.

You can have liposuction at 19 however you are younger than the average person. You have already lost weight with diet and exercise and you should reach your target weight and and shape before considering liposuction. It is a helpful tool to augment ones shape but not the entire answer. Once you have hit your target weight you should get several consultations.

Age in itself is not the most critical factor. If one is a suitable candidate for the procedure with well localized areas of lipodystrophy and good skin tone,not obese, in good health, and with reasonable and realistic expectations, the procedure should be able to be done in an emotionally mature 19 year old patient by a fully qualified surgeon.
