Double eyelid surgery has two main forms: incisional technique which involves a full crease incision, often with skin excision, and a "suture method" technique which does not involve a long incision or skin removal. The suture method is generally not as long lasting a result, but does have a quicker recovery rate. Unfortunately, not all patients are good candidates, especially patients with more heavy, fatty eyelids. "Parallel" vs "tapered" inner crease, often called "infold" or "outfold" are variations of the crease design and can be addressed with either technique. Seek a surgeon that has significant experience with this procedure, preferably someone that has had additional training in South Korea. This is a nuanced surgery which is very different from Caucasian eyelid surgery. Virtual consultations are available.
