Can I have PRP 2 weeks after radiesse?

Question

I have my first PRP done 2 weeks ago and have radiesse today, my doctor told me I should keep my PRP treatment once a month for the frist 3 times, but I not sure will PRP ruin the radiesse I have done on my cheek and chin.. should I wait?

PRP can be injected on the same day as dermal fillers. We often combine the two treatments in our facility. The PRP is regenerative, so although it's not acting as a filler it's generating new healthy cells. Our patients typically feel as though they get more longevity from their fillers when combine the two. We use the Magellan Tru PRP System which produces PRP that is 8 times more concentrated. Best of luck!

I often do cosmetic injections at the same time as the Vampire Facial or two weeks before or afterwards.  For these deeper injections there is absolutely no contraindication.  In fact, the PRP will add and increase collagen production and should improve the longevity of your injections by needing less fillers in the future.  Best, Dr. Green

PRP (a concentrated platelet injectable, derived from the patient's own blood) and Radiesse (a calcium hydroxyapatite injectable dermal filler) do not affect each other negatively, and are often performed at the same visit.  There is no reason to reschedule the PRP.  Good luck with your treatment!

PRP is very safe to inject with fillers. In fact, there may be a synergy between hyaluronic acid fillers like Voluma with PRP. The Vampire facelift is the combination of filler injections with PRP. I have seen the combination of filler and PRP provide great results.

There is no effect on the Radiesse placed. In fact, there will probably be no effect from the PRP. I have found that in the absence of any other procedure, PRP gives little benefit.
