Is it normal to swell after Vampire facelift?

Swelling and redness can occur after PRP, though it is usually mild and resolves in two to three days. Some people's skin is more sensitive than others so you may be experiencing a post inflammatory reaction. It is difficult to assess whether your swelling could be considered as normal without seeing a photograph. If you are really concerned, book a follow up with your nurse.

In my clinic we do the Vampire Facial a little differently.  We begin by applying numbing cream to make the treatment more comfortable.  Then we use a micro-needling device to create tiny little wounds in the skin. Once these micro-channels are open we apply the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) directly onto the skin.  We do not inject the PRP.   We have very good results with this treatment.  Minimal swelling may last a day or two.  

Yes it is common to have mild swelling you can use an ice pack after getting this done to bring down the swelling and to feel a little more comfortable. Thank you for your question.

Yes, it is is normal to have some swelling, depending on how aggressive the procedure was done.  You will have great results in only a few days from this procedure.  I combine PRP with the Vampire Facelift and Juvederm injections for a fabulous result.  Thermage in addition can give skin tightening results that complement the results of the Vampire facelift which works on the surface and wrinkles.  Please consult an expert.  Best, Dr. Green
