Swelling and redness can occur after PRP, though it is usually mild and resolves in two to three days. Some people's skin is more sensitive than others so you may be experiencing a post inflammatory reaction. It is difficult to assess whether your swelling could be considered as normal without seeing a photograph. If you are really concerned, book a follow up with your nurse.
Our state of the art faciality uses the Magellan Tru PRP System, which delivers the highest purity, hospital grade PRP for optimal results. Generally, there is mild puffiness for a few days after microneedling PRP into the skin. If the PRP is injected there can be an increased amount of swelling. This typically resolves within a few days. Not all PRP is created equal. Ask questions about what type of device will be used so you can get the best results. Best of luck!
The Vampire face lift usually consists of injection of fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane along with PRP and sometimes even microneedling in the same session. It is normal to have swelling after Vampire face lift procedure.
Yes, this is typical. Swelling should resolve in 2-3 days. I recommend following your Doctor's after care protocols in order to get the best results. I find this procedure is great for rejuvenation but needs to be combined with lasers, fillers, or skin tightening to get the ultimate outcomes. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Dr. Emer.
In my clinic we do the Vampire Facial a little differently. We begin by applying numbing cream to make the treatment more comfortable. Then we use a micro-needling device to create tiny little wounds in the skin. Once these micro-channels are open we apply the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) directly onto the skin. We do not inject the PRP. We have very good results with this treatment. Minimal swelling may last a day or two.
Yes it is common to have mild swelling you can use an ice pack after getting this done to bring down the swelling and to feel a little more comfortable. Thank you for your question.Sincerely,David Ikudayisi M.D.
Mild swelling can happen after this procedure and usually settles in a few days. The degree of swelling may vary from person to person.
Yes, it is is normal to have some swelling, depending on how aggressive the procedure was done. You will have great results in only a few days from this procedure. I combine PRP with the Vampire Facelift and Juvederm injections for a fabulous result. Thermage in addition can give skin tightening results that complement the results of the Vampire facelift which works on the surface and wrinkles. Please consult an expert. Best, Dr. Green
PRP once every 3 weeks would not likely cause any problems, however it would be a waste. One treatment per month is the ideal regimen in my opinion.
You are the perfect candidate for skin rejuvenation. I recommend you try the Vivace microneedling with PRP for great results. Vivace is one of the machines that uses a type of laser in conjunction with microneedling. The PRP or plasma will make the results even more gratifying. Good luck.
Thank you for sharing your question. It probably does not matter too much, but I would suggest have PRP with Microneedling performed first. It is important to make sure your doctor is an expert in both treatments in order to avoid serious complications. Good luck,
