How long to wait after Fraxel Re:store before having fillers and botox?

Thank you for sharing your good question. After laser skin resurfacing is performed, you should wait until the skin is not red or swollen to be treated with injectables ((Botox & fillers). Typically, 2 weeks after laser treatment is acceptable. Good luck.

Hi improve110, I usually tell my patients to wait about two weeks between laser and filler treatments. This allows the swelling and inflammation from the laser procedure to resolve before placing the fillers.

If you are looking to minimize the amount of filler or Botox you need (due to tightening effects of the Fraxel Restore), I recommend waiting three to six months to obtain the maximum results from the laser treatment.  If your goal is to minimize side effects, you can inject Botox and / or filler as early as three days after the procedure (when most of the edema has decreased).  Since some patients stay swollen as long as 7 to 10 days, I typically schedule the neuromodulator (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) and filler treatment one to two weeks after the Fraxel.  Best of luck,Suneel Chilukuri, M.D.Houston, TX
