Can I have someone drive me 2 hours to get home after BBL?

Question

If I lay flat on my stomach on cushions can I drive 2 hours to get home right after surgery? Most importantly can I take the pain medication the doctor has prescribed me on the trip home? Thank you for your response.

Surgeons will differ on this as some may recommend staying in a hotel closer to the surgical site for a day or two before driving home.

I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective post op protocol for his/her patients.  Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you will be healing following surgery.

The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Consult with your surgeon and follow his recommendations.  But, in general, you should be able to have someone drive you as long as you avoid putting pressure on the buttocks. Good luck.

As long as you are not driving and there is no pressure on any part of your buttocks, you should be able to ride 2 hours after your surgery.  You should be able to use your pain medication as well.  However, I would recommend that you discuss this with your surgeon beforehand.
