I'm 1 year post rhinoplasty and I'm not happy; my skin is thick & oily. The tip of my nose is bulbous and I have scar tissue "balls" on both sides of the tip of my nose. So what are my options? My doc injected kenalog in the left and right sides of my nose but not into the existing scar tissue "balls" on the tip. Can he make my tip narrower/straighter by injecting kenalog directly into the scar tissue balls.

Hi Surfride,We know of no studies on the safety of marijuana vapors two weeks after nasal surgery. You should ask your surgeon. If it is okay with your surgeon, proceed but be careful around Oreos, M&Ms, and fudge brownies (and enjoy the attached Cheech and Chong "Up in Smoke"...
Smoking of any kind, cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, or electric cigarettes will impair and delay your healing. It may, at worst, cause irreparable harm to your result. I recommend that my patients stop smoking for at least 2 weeks, and preferably for 4 weeks, before and after any surgery.
