As for whitening the front 16- 8 top and bottom 8 it dependents on how wide your smile is and how many teeth are visible when you smile!
When professionally whitening teeth there is not a rule that limits which teeth can be whitened. Most patients want their teeth to be uniform so whitening only the front 8 may leave some teeth that can be seen different in color. Over the counter products like strips are limited in their coverage, but professional whitening is not. Perhaps your back teeth have been restored with crowns which will not whiten. That is my only guess as to why your dentist is not whitening the rest.
Only 16 teeth? No, you can have different number of teeth whitened. A big factor is how many teeth are seen on your biggest smile? Some people only show a few, others every single one. One of the things I always look at is their biggest smile. What teeth are shown and which are not. Post bleaching you want a uniform smile. You never want to miss one and have a stand out dark tooth. Almost any number of teeth to bleach are able to be done. uppers only, lower only, 6,8,10....20. What ever is appropriate. One thing to be aware of is past dentistry. eg. bonding and crown will not change color. Just be aware that they may need to be changed out to match after bleaching.Brett S. My suggestions are as follows:check what % gel you have first and foremost. Most people can easily tolerate the normal concentrations. But there are some stronger ones that some people just cannot use.only use a pea size amount of fell in each teeth space.***always wipe gently with a Kleenex in...
Your dark tooth due to root canal, can definitely be covered if your dentist uses a porcelain fused to metal bridge, either precious metal or gold. However if you do want to have a non metal bridge, it is best to use lava, with an opaque core, however I have seen even with a lava bridge, some...
