Should I have been given something to help clean my nose after septoplasty?

I was not given any way to clean my nose after septoplasty I.e. nasal saline sprey only a cream to apply 4 times daily to the inside of my nose I can not breath at all should I have been given something to help clean my nose?

there are a variety of post procedure treatments which can help patients, although the medical literature does not support their effectiveness.  nasal saline, nasal ointments and humidifiers can help alleviate dryness which is a frequent early complaint after septoplasty.  nasal saline can help remove crusts from inside the nose which can impact breathing.  patients who suffer from allergy often need to resume allergy medications (speak with your surgeon first) to help reduce internal swelling.  best dr anil shah
