Thank you for your picture. Injectable fillers, such as Juvéderm® Voluma XC can work well to even out the face and Juvéderm® Volbella XC for the lips. The injection process takes only about 15 minutes and the results can last up to a year. The cost typically ranges between $300 – $1000 per syringe, depending on the formula used and other factors. Be sure to have an in-person consultation with a board certified cosmetic surgeon with experience to address all your aesthetic goals. Check their credentials and view their before and after images before proceeding.
While there is no substitute for an in-person evaluation in which the facial regions can be palpated and manipulated, from the photo provided there does seem to be flattening of the central portion of the right side the face as compared to the left and there is a downturning to the border of the left side of the upper lip when compared to the other side. Both problems should be readily amenable to fillers. A volumizing filler, such as Voluma XC, which I would choose in my NY office would help to reflate the right cheek region and balance it better with the left. (In my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved volumizers are available, I would opt for Stylage XXL for this purpose). For the vermilion border of the left side of the upper lip, I would choose Juvederm Ultra XC (NY) and Princess Volume (Israel). Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in the use of injectable volumizers and fillers. Ask to see his/her before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.
Symmetry of the face can be improved with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. Fat or implants are alternatives. Cost will vary due to skills, expertise and technique. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
The problem near the mouth corner typically occurs as volume is lost from the midface and the skin begins to slide forward and down. I would recommend revolumizing the cheeks with any filler you like (Voluma, Bellafill, Sculptra, fat, etc) to help lift that skin and minimize the lower face...
For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject...
