Too much filler in one spot - do I need to fully dissolve and start over? (Photo)

Question

It seems like my filler is mostly in the center of my lip and there is a large section missing filler. My lip protrudes in the center and is lacking volume on the right side of the photos especially. Do I need to fully dissolve and start over? Is a partial dissolve possible? I don’t know what to say to my injector

If you’re noticing that the filler in your lips is concentrated in the center while the sides lack volume, it’s understandable to feel concerned about the uneven appearance. A partial dissolve is indeed possible, allowing your injector to target specific areas without removing all the filler. This approach can help balance out the volume and create a more harmonious look. However, if the asymmetry is significant and you're not satisfied with the overall results, fully dissolving the filler and starting fresh could be a better option. Your treatment is funky. If the treatment was just performed (in the past week), I recommend giving it perhaps another week to see how it settles. Your injector may not really know what they are doing. However, a small amount of enzyme can be used to shape this treatment in the centeral lip. You are missing filler at the edges of the upper lip. The central upper lip is overfilled. The outer aspects of the upper lip are under filled. I personally think that lips should look natural. Your challenge is that is hard to find injectors who know what they are doing. You are asking your injector to sculpt the face. It takes more than a white coat and a syringe of filler. Most often just aggressive massage will smooth out areas that have been over filled in just a few days without having to dissolve the filler. Just pinch the areas aggressively and rub between your fingers.
