It sounds silly, but I'm 19 years old I haven't noticed this before but recently I've noticed that I have two veins that bulge out on my forehead at times. It starts from a little bit lower than hairline and goes to eyebrow level right in between my eyebrows. They really stand out when I excersize and when I smile. This is really making me depressed so I'm wondering if ANYTHING at all can be done. Thank you. - Riley

Answer: Bulging veins on the forehead Thank you for the question! It is definitely possible to treat bulging veins on the forehead, but rather difficult to fully evaluate your situation without an in-person exam. Younger people may experience bulging veins during exercise, which is not uncommon. If your veins require treatment, however, you may benefit from microphlebectomy or sclerotherapy. In my practice, I often rely on sclerotherapy to treat medium to large-sized veins with an injectable sclerosing solution that causes the vein to shrink. Following the procedure, the blood is naturally rerouted to flow through healthy veins, while treated veins gradually fade and disappear from view. An in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon is the best way to assess your needs and obtain expert medical advice. Best of luck!
