Is there anything I can do, about recent bulging veins on my forehead?

Many people have bulging forehead veins and these are normal.  They tend to increase in size with straining, exercise and smiling.  These veins can be treated as a cosmetic procedure under local anesthesia in the office.  Usually sclerotherapy is all that is required but more than one treatment may be required.

It is normal for veins to bulge, i.e. dilate when you exercise. Once they reach a certain size, however, they will always be visualized under the skin, especially in lean people. You have to show pictures for better guidance. However, the most common treatments are injection sclerotherapy if they are not on the large side of the spectrum of forehead veins or microincision phlebectomy. It is an office procedure but it is not covered by insurance.

Thank you for the question!  It is definitely possible to treat bulging veins on the forehead, but rather difficult to fully evaluate your situation without an in-person exam. Younger people may experience bulging veins during exercise, which is not uncommon. If your veins require treatment, however, you may benefit from microphlebectomy or sclerotherapy.  In my practice, I often rely on sclerotherapy to treat medium to large-sized veins with an injectable sclerosing solution that causes the vein to shrink.  Following the procedure, the blood is naturally rerouted to flow through healthy veins, while treated veins gradually fade and disappear from view. 
An in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon is the best way to assess your needs and obtain expert medical advice. Best of luck!
