Can bad microneedling cause these small bumps all over my face? (photo)

Question

I got microneedling done a couple months ago and I've noticed that my entire face and forehead is covered in these small bumps. There doesn't seem to be anything in them so they aren't like white heads but they won't go away and are making my complexion appear way worse then before. Could these bumps be from a bad microneedling streatment?

This isn't typical after microneedling. I recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist for a formal evaluation. With microneedling, I always add lasers and prp to improve outcomes. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

A standardardised before and after picture will help, as well as more information on  the microneedling device and technique could shed some light. I have seen unusual cases of idiosyncratic dermal reactions following microneedling, however this could be an unrelated condition. The best way forward is to have the before photos, and procedure docs., and present yourself to a dermatologist for assessment. Other causes should be excluded. All the best, Dr Davin Lim.
