I did 2 sessions of coolsculpting on my chin area. It resulted in my chin increasing in size. I went to a certified surgeon who told me that I was suffering from paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. He performed lipo and FaceTite. My chin decreased and then increased in size several months later. Part of the area hardened. After a year, the area is soft. Its ruining my social life. Do you think AirSculp will work for me? If not, what procedure, excluding a facelift, will provide me great results?
Answer: Secondary Liposuction Secondary Liposuction is most likely not going to do very much for you. It’s better to look at the underlying cause of why your neck and chin look the way they do. My best guess is the primary underlying reason is that your mandible is small and under developed. The second issue is a history of weight fluctuations and obesity with skin laxity. I suggest having multiple in person consultations with senior experienced board-certified plastic surgeons or a facial plastic surgeons who have a proven track record. Look for providers who specifically bring up facial skeletal structures, the size of your mandible and all the variables involved. A chin augmentation with the proper neck lift is probably your best option. To get a more accurate assessment I suggest multiple in person consultations. Cool sculpting is a fairly low yield treatment and I’ve never met a patient who was pleased with chin and neck cool sculpting results. Simply removing fat over and over without seeing results should be telling you that there’s more than fat that’s the problem here. Airsculpt is a trademarked term owned by elite body sculpture.
