3 weeks after surgery, I was told by my plastic surgeon I popped a stitched. We are now almost 2 months post surgery and my nose is still very swollen and sensitive to the touch. I was informed at the 6 month mark, after swelling has subsided, I would need to be adjusted and restitched, as the septum may have moved, it was hard to tell due to swelling. What is your take on my pictures I provided? Is this normal? Is there some other issue you see?

I would recommend you have a closed rhinoplasty since the open rhinoplasty will leave a scar on the base of your nose. There's no need to open the nose for something like this. You will need to wait a few months after your previous surgery, but it can be easily done. I can straighten the crooked...
The patients symptoms must be considered, patients comfort breathing must be considered, patients happiness with the appearance of the nose must be considered. If all or most is a go the septum can be repaired. My Best, Dr Commons
Thank you for the question. This is a common symptom after septoplasty and rhinoplasty. The numbness comes from disruption of the nerve endings to the tip of the nose. These come through the hard palate and into the nose from below. There can also be a little numbness of the two front teeth....
