Swelling concerns almost 2months post septoplasty surgery. Is this due to a popped stitch or was I botched? (photos)

Question

3 weeks after surgery, I was told by my plastic surgeon I popped a stitched. We are now almost 2 months post surgery and my nose is still very swollen and sensitive to the touch. I was informed at the 6 month mark, after swelling has subsided, I would need to be adjusted and restitched, as the septum may have moved, it was hard to tell due to swelling. What is your take on my pictures I provided? Is this normal? Is there some other issue you see?

It would be helpful to see some photos of your nose before surgery and for you to share with us the goals of this surgery (i.e., improve breathing, improve asymmetry, etc). I do see some asymmetry of your columella. It's hard to tell if this is due to deviation of the end of the septum or a deformity of a portion of the tip cartilages. This can certainly be revised if the asymmetry is bothersome or if you are having difficulty breathing through your nose. It sounds like your surgeon is aware of the problem and has a plan in mind to address it down the road. There is nothing wrong with seeking a second opinion. Best of luck.
