How difficult is it to have an implant placed (#8 tooth) if there has been a three unit bridge in place for 20 years? What type of bone grafting can be expected (lets assume much vertical and horizontal bone loss) and can all the bone grafting be done in just one surgery? I only need to replace tooth #8 and I cannot find much information on replacing a long term bridge with an implant, thanks!

Answer: Replacing A Three Unit Bridge With A Dental Implant
Salt water (saline) is a really good way to speed up healing. Use it until there is no more gum soreness, usually about 5-10 days. Most mouthwashes contain alcohol which might sting if you use it too soon
Try, 1 year to bring that canine down, at least, if not, extraction, of canine, and setting of bone grafting, and implant, and you will restore that area ,for sure, do not try to put a crown over that baby tooth, would not work, and it will be a failure, sooner or later,
if you do not want to...
