I am no expert on Melanotan, however, what i have read is that this medication is not approved for human use certainly not in USA.  However, Melanotan does create a tan which will compete with the hair as a target of the laser energy. The less competition for absorption of the laser light the more effective the laser hair removal is, so Melanotan will either make laser hair removal less effective or increase the risk for a burn with the laser. I recommend to at least discuss your use of Melanotan with Physician who is either supervising or performing the laser hair removal to make sure it can be safely done.
