Hi can PRP treatment be used on the back of head “donor area after a hair transplant to help the hair grow Bk ?? As ive had 2 procedures and both times the hair hasn’t grown Bk very well and it’s noticeable that donor area is very weak now

Yes you can get prp treatment to stimulate the donor hair. You can also use oral supplements such as finasteride 1 mg and biotin 10000 mcg

Thank you for your question. Utilizing PRP after hair transplant would be a great idea. In fact, it may be beneficial to use PRP in both donor area and that area of your scalp where the hair was placed. PRP can be completed in a series to promote hair growth in the areas, and once desired density and fullness is reach, PRP can be utilized for maintenance. Good luck with your hair journey.

PRP can help regrow hair follicles that are present and not damaged after harvesting for a transplant. Sometimes, the manipulation and pressure on unharvested follicles can cause a temporary shock loss. PRP should be able to decrease the shock loss and regrow these hairs.
