I finished a series of 4 PRP treatments (no Acell) over 4 months, about 30-days ago to treat thinning hair at the temples and front 1/4 of the hairline. I definitely notice improvement (I’m also using minoxidil, laser comb). I’m noticing a lot of very fine hair coming in at my temples, extending right up to my old hairline.

Answer: Your fine hair may develop into thicker more visible hair with continued treatment. That is a great sign that you are seeing new growth and I would like to tell you that it is great that you have attacked the issue with more than one approach. Our experience has been that if you keep up your treatments you may continue to have the results you are hoping for. Those tiny hairs may become large strands that give more coverage. I wish we could give a guarantee but everyone responds differently for therapies. You have done well so far and hopefully your results will continue. Well done, keep it up.

Answer: PRP With PRP therapy, some people respond, and others do not. Given the fact that you are developing fine hair is a good sign that you may be a responder. Most people do respond to PRP, and the degree that people respond varies. Again, given the fact that you are responding favorably at this point, continue with the therapy by a qualified, hair restoration physician.
