Inframammary incision high and tight? 4 days post-op. (photos)

Question

I had 350cc smooth high profiles via the inframmory crease 4 days ago. The dressing on my nipple is a mole that was removed at the same time. I'm worried that the incision looks curved, pinched and high up under my breast. Is this normal or should I be concernened?

Thank you for your question.Please relay your concerns to your surgeon for assurance on the appearance of the incisions. In my opinion, what you are describing sounds normal to me especially this early in recovery. However, the images do not show an accurate image of the incisions and so I cannot tell you much other than the fact that you should follow-up with your surgeon to make sure you are free from complications. The pinched look you are describing sounds like the appearance from a tight suture to close the incision, and this is must to allow the tissues to come together and repair the cuts. Also, inframammary incisions are often not exactly on the crease, or below the crease, but rather, above the breast fold so that they are not entirely visible under a snugly-fit bra.
