Best advice for men taking Finasteride who are trying to conceive with their partner, especially regarding the baby’s safety?

Im 32M, been on finesteride 1mg oral for more than 7 years. Recently took semen analysis and all my reports are normal. And we are actively trying to concieve. I usu do gyming with good diet also on antioxidant stack like glutathione, VitC, VitE, Coq 300mg. What is the best advice I can get considering our baby's safety. I find articles saying men are good to take finesteride while trying to concieve amd some Doc saying better to pause it for atleast a month before. I also want to preserve my hair, also using minoxidil topical daily. Please guide me clearly, what is the best advise men can get while on finesteride and trying to conceive

You can stop taking finasteride until pregnancy occurs. I have had many patients taking Finasteride over the years that had no problem with conceiving. However also had patients who where having difficulty getting pregnant and  their fertility doctor recommended bother partners stop taking any medications including Finasteride. You may want to consider switching to oral Minoxidil which as shown to be as or more effective than topical and has no topical side effects.
