Most likely the bite has to be adjusted and make sure there is no grinding or clenching pressure on the crown as well.  Please go back to your dentist right away to check the bite.

Hi, thanks for your question, and sorry to hear that you are in pain. Whenever you have teeth prepared for a crown, especially small teeth like 24 and 25, it is entirely possible that you will have post op discomfort. That pain could be coming from the amount of reduction of tooth structure during the crown prep and how close your dentist came to the nerve, as well as how much sound tooth structure is left. Temps many times will also not create a complete seal, or temp cement will wash out, and you will have leakage. This leakage will cause pain whenever you may eat something sweet, hot, or cold. More than likely, once the permanents are cemented in place, any leakage present will be resolved and you will not have that sensitivity anymore. Another possibility is that the temps are high when you bite or when you slide your jaw to the front or side. The occlusion (bite) should be checked and adjusted. If that is the cause, a 2 minute adjustment will take care of things. If all those things are examined and do not provide a solution, you might need root canal. I would suggest that if at the time you are ready to have your crowns put in permanently you are still sensitive, you should have the final restorations cemented temporarily for a few weeks to see if the pain goes away. If it does not, you should have root canals done prior to permanent cementation. I hope this helps, and I hope you feel better soon.
