Will the same side effects happen after each treatment? I had my 1st vanquish treatment 3 days ago. On stomach and it was borderline unbearable but back was pain-free. I was in terrible pain after and the next day my fat deposit was swollen to 3x it’s normal size. I couldn’t exercise for days, still hurts to walk even. If I continue treatment, should I expect the same level of swelling and pain each time? I don’t have any hard lumps and the provider used the Z-wave. I don’t get it, I look huge and am so sore. What could have gone wrong?

Hi There--
First-- the treatment should not be unbearable. The settings and positioning of the device should be adjusted during treatment to levels that are tolerable. The swelling and pain sound like panniculitis-- inflammation of the fat. These should slowly subside over the next couple weeks. There are not usually any long term negative consequences from panniculitis. The only consolation I can tell you is that when there is panniculitis, we usually see a great response-- this is your fat dying a painful death. I also recommend waiting until the symptoms resolve before treating again. Also-- just because you see panniculitits after one treatment does not mean you will have more next time-- usually this is not the case. You should end up with a great result.
