I am worried My breasts are slowly getting closer together.. This is causing my cleavage to look my square in the middle and cause denting at certain angles. Do you think I am developing symmastia? Is there anyway i can prevent it from getting worse? I am currently exactly 6 months post op. I feel like my breasts are getting worse with time.

Answer: Symmastia I do not think that you are showing current signs of symmastia as there is a distinct adhesion zone visible in between the two breasts with appropriate definition of the borders of the implant. As the implants exert forces on the surrounding tissues, the initial appearance of the implants will change. You will notice final position at 6-12 months. I would follow up with your original surgeon to discuss.

Answer: Symmastia I don't feel that you have symmastia. This is the condition when the breast implants pocket tear through the muscle or soft tissue and the implant pockets become one allowing the implants to touch together. There appears to be a small separation between your breasts in the last photo. It really shouldn't get any worse. With time the implants will drift to the side because of gravity and the weight of the implant. It would always be best to ask your surgeon and have an in-person exam to confirm. Hope that helps!
