Yes, the optimal treatment to lengthen short but healthy teeth is to place porcelain veneers.  But it is a complicated process that involves a smile analysis and some phonetic tests to determine the best length to make your porcelain veneers.  After analyzing your teeth and smile your cosmetic dentist will prepare your teeth and make you a set of temporary veneers, called the trial smile, to let you test drive the length of your new veneer teeth.  This gives you the opportunity to make sure you like the new length before the final veneers and made and bonded into place. Lengthening your teeth makes some changes in your bite, so would advise only going to an experienced cosmetic dentist.  After all you want to have an attractive smile that looks natural, and certainly you do not want to end up with a Buggs Bunny smile, do you?

Yes, Veneers are commonly used to add length to teeth. That being said, your dentist must be well educated in occlusion to make sure your "bite" can handle the additional length.

There is of course a limit to how long teeth can be, but one of the most common uses for veneers is to lengthen teeth. They are also often placed to make a smile look wider. I had that done on my own teeth. The material called Emax is very strong and also very aesthetic when fabricated by a talented technician and a very good choice for veneers.
