Bruising after lip filler
Unfortunately, bruising is a known side effect from filler injections. At this stage, ice, Arnica by mouth and laser treatments can be very helpful. Typically, bruising will last 1-2 weeks. In the future, you may want to start Arnica the day before your injections and take note of any medications or supplements you may be taking that can cause bruising: aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, St. John's wort, etc.
Duration of post treatment bruising
I am sorry that you bruised. It is common and not something to worry about. In terms of healing, it is going to depend on your body and whether or not you took anything such as aspirin or Advil prior to treatment. In general, most bruising resolves within a week. Keep up with the arnica. It does seem to help. Best of luck.
Dermal Fillers and Bruising
Thank you for your question. Bruising after filler injections is entirely dependent upon the individual. Pre injection use of aspirin, Motrin, turmeric, ginkgo, or marijuana can predispose one to bleeding and bruising. Most bruises will resolve in one week, but severe bruises may take up to two weeks. Arnica and vitamin K creams may aid in the resolution.

Bruising in the lips is almost always from the needle used to place the fillers. You get MUCH less bruising and swelling with a cannula and it hurts less too.
Bruising After Lip Augmentation with fillers (juvederm, restylane, volbella)
Bruising and/or swelling can last for 1-2 weeks after your injections. VBeam treatments, icing and arnica may give improvement. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Juvederm Side Effects
Thank you for your question,
When it comes to dermal fillers in the lips, it can take up to two weeks for final results to become apparent. The lips are a very delicate characteristic and because your photos show bruising just one day after your procedure, I would not be concerned. Cold packs can help to reduce swelling and bruising in the lips. If your bruising does not subside after two weeks, I would contact your plastic surgeon for a follow-up visit.
Best of luck!
Bruising after Juvederm
Congratulations on your recent Juvederm treatment! The lips are a very sensitive area, and are prone to swelling and bruising for up to 2 weeks after any filler injections. Gently applying ice to your lips may help the swelling and bruising resolve sooner. It may also be worthwhile to follow-up with your plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns - he/she may be able to treat your bruises with a vascular laser to help them fade faster. Homeopathic arnica supplements probably are not very effective at preventing bruising.
How Long Does Post Juvederm Lip Filler Bruising Last?
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. Sorry that you are having some concerns about your postprocedure appearance. Some swelling and possibly bruising is normal after treatment with Juvederm. Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling and bruising to fully resolve and to see your final result. Icing is beneficial for up to 48 hours after the procedure. Arnica is also helpful for minimizing normal postprocedure swelling and bruising. Please be sure to address any specific questions or concerns to your plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best wishes!
Unfortunately, bruising is a side affect of fillers, and your lips might take up to two weeks to heal. Try taking an aspirin, and applying neosporin or arnica to the area.
