Best to run this type of question by your plastic surgeon who knows exactly how you are healing. You will want to avoid “unclean” water exposure and the risk of infection. Best wishes.

I would not recommend a hot tub for a few reasons:

1. The germs and fresh incisions are not a good combination
2. The heat will make the treated areas swell up
3. You don't need more "circulation" to the area

Wear your compression garments and ask your surgeon about starting gentle massage to the areas in a few days.

I usually ask my patients to wait about 6 weeks before soaking in a hot tub but I encourage patients after a week or so to take a warm shower, soap up their hands and gently massage their swollen areas.  I think this helps speed healing and I know it makes patients feel better.

Make sure you check with your surgeon.  Instructions may vary based on a surgeon's training and experience but one thing we have in common is that we all want our patients to do well!
