Are there any contraindication to Thermage or Ulthera while breastfeeding an 11 month old?

I am just wondering about any possible concerns for my outcome. Would it affect me differently based on the hormones of breastfeeding? I can't imagine it risks the milk supply at all or causes problems that way?

Hi, there is no contraindication to Thermage or Ulthera while breastfeeding. These two treatment only affect the treated area.

I would recommend to wait until you are finished breast feeding although treatment would not have a direct effect on milk supply it has never been tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women, this would be considered a contraindication and therefore overall safer to wait for your treatment. As always you should seek medical advice from your physician before treatment as well.

There is no problem having treatment with either Thermage or Ulthera during breastfeeding. There is some discomfort with these procedures and most individuals require Tylenol or Advil which would not be a problem unless you have an allergy to them.
