Sorry that you continue to struggle with pain. One of the biggest issues that I warn patients about with implant removal is that it is not possible to guarantee that it will correct the pain/symptoms that they have been experiencing in all cases. I would agree with your plastic surgeon about not removing the capsules in the first place, as often for submuscular implants, it is not possible to easily remove the capsule as it is directly attached to the ribs. The capsules themselves typically do not cause pain as they are simply a layer of scar tissue. Going in to take the capsules out may have a similar result with minimal impact on your pain, and thus should not be rushed into.

You may want to seek a second opinion on your situation.  There is no guarantee that removing the capsules will resolve your pain, but it does bear looking into.  Further testing may be necessary to rule out other potential causes.
