Is it okay to wear Invisalign aligners for 1 week rather than 2?

I am getting mixed advice about whether I can wear aligners for 1week rather than 2. One dentist says it’s absolutely fine to go to weekly wear if you wear them for 21 hours or more. What’s the general consensus out there?

If your retainers feel tight, that's a sign to wear them more often. Your teeth may be shifting during the day now, but over time they will stabilize in the new position, and then you can wear your retainers less and less often.
