There are many patients on different cycles wearing Invisalign. Some are changing them monthly, every 3 weeks, every 2 weeks, every week, and even within days. This depends on the movements required per aligner as well as individual physiology. Of course, wear-time is important, but each person's plan should be individualized and programmed by the doctor they choose. In other words, each doctor might plan movements at different rates for each specific treatment. It is best you speak your doctor to find out what the recommendation is and ask for some reasons behind it.
When undergoing orthodontic treatment with Invisalign, your contract is one between the doctor/office you choose and yourself. The doctor is the one who has the contract with Align Technology to pay for the aligners. Therefore, any costs associated with retreatment would have to be discussed with your doctor/office and is independent of Align Technology/Invisalign. Hope that helps!
There are times when an aligner may not fully seat against the teeth. This may happen when you are putting a new aligner on for the first time. Often times, the aligners will seat better over time as you continue to bite into and wear them. It is also possible that there is an issue with the manufacturing. If this is a consistent issue, it could be due to lack of tracking or need for an attachment for retention of the aligner. In any event, it is best to get in to see your doctor if you have any questions. Hope that helps!
Sorry to hear that you've broken off some brackets. You're best contacting your orthodontist's office to figure out what the protocols are. There are some offices that have a contract that is all-inclusive while others may have additional charges for x-rays, retainers, or excessive breakage. Hope that helps!
Without full orthodontic records, it is not possible to determine the scope of what treatment is needed for you. The length of time is going to depend on what the initial goals are, and how the doctor/office addresses those concerns. The best thing to do is to visit an orthodontist in the area. Many offer complimentary consultations and can help you determine what you may need. Hope that helps!
