Can Vaser liposuction remove transferred fat in the cheeks?

Question

Is it safe & efficient to use vaser liposuction to remove injected fat in the cheeks? Would remove all the injected fat or some part of it? What about lipodissolve? Would it help to melt injected fat?

The best way to remove fat from chubby cheeks is through a small incision inside the mouth. You will first get numbed up and then after making the incision the fat will be easily removed.  This works great for those individuals who have bigger fat pads in their cheeks. Best, Dr. Edward Dickerson

VASER is extremely efficient. In fact, it's so efficient that it could cause massive complications and would be very dangerous to do in the face.Many surgeons are hesitant to do any liposuction in the cheek area.The few times I have done facial liposuction has been done with traditional manual techniques using very fine cannulas and very delicate motions. It's not possible or realistic to say that all the fat that has been transferred can be removed.Some of the fat removed may be previously grafted fat, and some of it may be your own natural facial fat.Removal of previously grafted facial fat should never be done soon after facial fat transfer. Because a significant proportion of grafted fat will be lost over time, this process needs to come to completion before revisions or attempted.My personal choice would be careful liposuction before using lipodissolve.Please know there are inherent risks involved with facial liposuction, such as injuries to nerves and glands.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
