You can absolutely have a chin implanted following a facelift.  The incision made under the chin for the facelift can serve as the access point for the chin implant.  Chin implantation, either placed at the time of a facelift or after, can enhance the result of the facelift and improve jawline definition.

Thank you for the great question. In my practice, I will sometimes use a chin implant to enhance the results of a lower facelift or neck lift. This is placed through a submental incision (under the chin, exactly where you describe it). Though it may be preferable to have the implant placed at the time of the facelift, there is no reason that you couldn't have the implant placed now. In fact, the old incision could be used. A chin implant can be placed through the mouth or by going under the chin.  I would recommend having it placed under your chin and by going through the existing scar that you have.  There is no problem with placing it through the scar.

Thank you for the question. You can certainly have a chin implant and/or a prejowl implant performed, depending on the area you desire to have improved. The area of placement is easily accessible through your submental scar. Alternatively, you could use an injectable product like Radiesse.
