I’m 28 years old no kids. Put on a bit of stomach fat over the years and just can’t get rid of it through diet and exercise. I am so self conscious of the lower stomach that shows when I’m bloated and I went to get rid of it but not sure what treatment I would need. I’m trying to minimise as much scarring as possible due to my splenectomy scar but will consider it I have too. Thanks
Answer: VASER Liposuction or Tummy Tuck Thank you for your question regarding whether you need to undergo VASER liposuction or a mini tummy tuck. Thank you for your history and your pictures. In examining your pictures, you have some excess skin but more excess fat and a weak anterior abdominal wall. The abdominal wall will not be corrected with VASER liposuction or whatever technique is chosen. Your anterior rectus abdominal muscle must be fixed with a regular formal tummy tuck or abdominoplasty. Even a mini tummy tuck will not correct your muscle distension. Your muscle distension can be seen on your profile view. Therefore even though vaser liposuction may be VASER, lipo 360 may be less expensive than a mini tummy tuck. Do not be fooled. It would be best if you had a tummy tuck. It would be a shame to spend a lot of money on VASER 360 lipo and be dissatisfied with the results knowing that you needed a tummy tuck. Go with the procedure you need, a tummy tuck. This will get you the flattest abdomen. If you have VASER liposuction, you will have wrinkled skin and a distended abdomen because the muscle will not be fixed. I hope I helped to answer your question regarding whether you need to undergo VASER liposuction or a mini tummy tuck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: VASER HI DEF 4D LIPO / 360 Degree Sculpture / Snatched Waist / HD Sculpting With Fat Transfer and Tummy Tuck / Mommy Makeover To get a snatched waist you need to have aggressive fat removal of the torso/sides and have fat injections on the hips/buttock to give the illusion of an S Curve. This cannot be done with smart lipo, and this cannot be done awake to the full extent that contouring can be performed. I suggest you see a well trained expert in body shaping. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Vaser and/or Tummy Tuck : detailed assessment before proceed with the procedure Hi, Thanks for your question. According to the picture you are borderline candidate between tummy tuck and and/or Vaser lipo. It is important to know your medical history including smoking status, history of significant weight fluctuations. The key here is also to understand what you would like to achieve, what are your expectations. If you are happy to have more invasive procedure (Abdominoplasty) with large scars but better skin results or less invasive procedure ( small scars) (Vaser Lipo with eventually combination with J plasma-Renuvion) with good fat removal and overall improvement of your silhouette and contour. Regarding the risk of saggy skin this depends of your skin elasticity/ skin retraction. In your case, your young age and no previous pregnancies are 2 factors in favour of Vaser liposuction rather than Abdominoplasty because there is a possibility of skin retraction. In my clinical practice, if a patient refuses to undergo for tummy tuck surgery due to the scars, then after a careful assessment, if she is still suitable for Vaser lipo ,then it is important a combined protocol including J plasma (Renuvion), compression garment, manual lymphatic drainage sessions after the surgery and healthy diet and exercise can also help with skin retraction and reduce the risk of saggy skin. Usually for the complete results you need to wait up to 6 months of the treatment to give time for the production of collagen and elastin for the possible skin retraction. I would strongly suggest to make a consultation with an expert Vaser/ body contouring surgeon for a medical/surgical assessment in order to consider the best suitable treatment. Hope this help, Best Wishes, Dr Giuseppe Fiore, MD

Answer: Liposuction or a tummy tuck? You appear to be a very good candidate for liposuction to remove that pooch in the front of your stomach. I use tumescent liposuction and micro-cannulas, which is a gentler, more precise procedure for this area. It can be performed using local anesthesia and recovery is just a few days. Incisions used to insert the micro-cannulas are too small to leave a significant scar behind. This treatment should only be performed by an experienced, board-certified physician to ensure you achieve the best possible result.

Answer: Would I need Vaser liposuction or a mini tummy tuck? I think with the amount of skin and adipose tissue you have, a mini tummy tuck with liposuction would provide better results. Vaser liposuction alone would likely leave you with hanging skin that may make you feel worse than prior to surgery. As always, be sure to carefully research the doctor doing your procedure to increase the chance of having a favorable outcome.
