I had my septorhinoplasty operation one week ago and have had the cast removed today. I understand at one week the week tip of the nose and nose will be swollen from the surgery. From a side profile my nose does not look straight towards the tip of my nose. Is this due to the swelling of the tip and is this likely to reduce as the swelling does in a couple of months, or is this likely to be the shape of my nose. I have attached two photos, the first being before the surgery and one as at today.

Many patients after undergoing rhinoplasty have similar problems like yours. That is the biggest group of patients with postoperative anxiety in our practice. If you can not handle it discuss a short term anxiety treatment (Xanax) with your surgeon or PCP. It will go away. Good luck.
Depending upon the type of packing your surgeon chooses to use following your rhinoplasty, breathing through your nose post operatively could be challenging. I prefer the use of nasal splints with airways built into the splints for comfort but packing is still used by many very good surgeons. ...
Two issues presented here. #1. Why are you allowing this event to keep reoccurring? Are you looking to have revision surgery?#2. The chances are you should return to see your chosen operative surgeon for examination of your nose.
