Can they improve the width of your smile if it’s quite narrow?
Answer: No prep veneers Hello, It sounds like you are looking for no prep 100% porcelain veneers, where your natural teeth and enamel are protected and not shaved down. You should look for a dentist who is proficient in this type of application, and review their work.

Answer: Yes, there are no-prep and minimal-prep veneers I am so glad you are asking this question and seeking a conservative method of enhancing your smile!!!!! So many patients have gotten standard veneers which require drilling away of healthy enamel when no-prep and minimal-prep veneers can be done instead.I have performed thousands of Lumineers and other no-prep and minimal prep veneers using Cerinate, eMax, Vivaneers and others. All of these can be used to "Widen" the smile when treating back to the second premolars. It takes the eye of an artist, technique of a well trained clinician and planning of an engineering minded practitioner and lab technician to achieve the natural and pleasing smile you are desiring.Make a consultation appointment with two or three cosmetic dentists before you decide. They should each show you photos of many cases they have actually done themselves and take several photos of you. This is a very important decision you are making and you could easily have your enamel drilled away when you do not have to!!!!!!!!!!In my office, I even modify a photo of each smile makeover patient to show what they could look like with a new, wider, even and proportional and white smile.

Answer: Is there a veneer that does not require shaving down your tooth, and if so, how much does it cost per tooth? Lumineers or no prep veneers can be done in some cases successfully without shaving down your teeth. Because there is no preparation involved, you can see how they would look before actually having them fabricated. Your dentist would have to take impressions of your teeth and have a waxup created showing how the veneers would look. An impression is taken of the waxup creating a matrix. By placing self curing temporary material in the matrix in the areas of the teeth to be veneered, and then placing the matrix in your mouth over your teeth, upon removal of the matrix in two minutes, the temporary material will remain on your teeth and give you a preview of how your teeth will look with the no prep veneers. Since they are adding to the dimension of your teeth, they should provide a widened smile for you. Your dentist will charge you a fee for this service, but it is well worth it to make sure you will be satisfied with your final veneers and not get an unpleasant surprise. The fees for no prep veneers are very comparable to prepped veneers where teeth are shaved down because the same laboratory fees will be incurred by your dentist. You should expect between $1000 and $2000 per tooth depending on the experience, skills, and expertise of the dentist and laboratory technician.

Answer: Lumineers Yes, I place "no prep/minimally prep" veneers all the time. I use Lumineers for my patients. Not all patients are candidates for Lumineers so make sure you consult with a certified Lumineers dentist to see if you're a candidate. As far as widening your smile, again, a Lumineers dentist will need to evaluate you in person to see what can be done if any to widening your smile.

Answer: Veneers There are no-prep veneers. Your teeth and bite need to be in the proper position for that to be possible. They can add some bulk to the teeth which might widen your smile.
