Can I get a lip lift when I already have tooth show? (Photo)

Question

I'm interested in a lip lift, I do however already show a lot of my upper teeth. Is it likely I'm not a candidate for this procedure because of my upper tooth show? I also read somewhere it can make it difficult to close your lips if your chin is slightly weak? Is this correct?

A classic lip lift would cause more dental show. however, if you're wanting fuller lips, that can be achieved with a lip lift that wouldn't alter your dental show. A lip lift wouldn't affect your chin or its ability to raise the lower lip. But you are correct, that the muscle in your chin helps to raise the lower lip and close your lips tightly.

Unfortunately, your photograph cuts off your upper lip and it is difficult to access the length. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. From your photograph in repose, your corners are slightly turned down and your lip could be fuller. This takes 1 hour to perform under local anesthesia and costs $4,000.
