Over the last month I feel volume has been lost in my face and I look older! I'm only 31 and would love a fuller face but not really upto putting foreign substances in my face! How long does it last? How much is the rough cost in the uk and what's the pros and cons? I've only heard bad stuff about it but the photos look amazing.
Answer: Pros and cons of fat grafting Thank you for a great question and for sharing your concerns. Fat transfer can be done to address areas of hollowing and volume loss. The majority, but not all the fat takes, and that fat can be permanent although it will age with you as does our original facial fat. I hope you find this helpful. Best wishes!Consult with a Board Certified Fellowship Trained Facial Plastic Surgery Specialist."This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion. Answer: Face Fat Transfers Volume loss to the face are part of the natural process of aging or can happen when an individual experiences significant weight loss. The two options for treating volume loss are injectable fillers and fat transfer. Filler can be done in the office as a “walk-in, walk-out” treatment with no downtime and immediate results. Fat transfer is a surgical procedure that involves removing fat from one are of the body, usually the abdomen, hips or thighs, and placing it in the face where volume is needed. There is a recovery period of a few days to one week. Fat transfer is a permanent long term solution, where fillers are temporary. Costs vary geographically, experience of the surgeon, type of anesthesia, where performed, etc. See the below links for additional information.#facefattransfer

Answer: Fat Grafting Can Help. Structural fat grafting can be done at any age. Many faces have facial atrophy or volume loss that makes the face look drawn. Certain areas of the face can be enhanced with fat grafting. All of these are possible. You should have an evaluation with your plastic surgeon. I am not sure what this would cost in the UK

Answer: Fat Grafting for Volume Loss Structural fat grafting can provide a wonderful and very natural looking results for people who feel like volume loss in their face has made them look older or less attractive. Fat grafting is also effective for people who have hollow areas due to genetics. Fat grafting can be permanent, therefore it is critical not to over-correct. I have seen too many people who have had too much fat or filler injected. This can result in an overfilled, puffy and unnatural look. Men, in particular need to be very careful about being certain that results are very natural looking. Too much fat, and / or fat that is not ideal placed could result in an unnatural and possibly even a feminized look. Find a plastic surgeon with extensive experience with fat grafting. Look at many, many photos for evidence of results that are lasting and natural looking. Viewing many photos will also help you to determine whether or not you and your surgeon share an aesthetic ideal.
