Can I get a Breast reduction from a 32H to a 32D?

Hi! Im 18 years old, I really want a breast reduction so badly, at the moment I am a 32H and i have been this size since 14. I weigh at the moment 132lbs and I am 5'4 which I think is average. I would LOVE to be a 32D, I know about breast feeding I really dont mind if I can or not, I dont suffer from any pain from my breasts, it just does not suit my body, I have a small - medium body frame I want to lose weight after a breast reduction so my breasts are even smaller! I want to be a 32D so bad!!

Thank you for your question. It is difficult to tell if you are a candidate for a breast reduction surgery without photos, but from your description, it sounds like you are! Board Certified Plastic Surgeons cannot guarantee a "bra size", but after evaluation you can look at photos to determine what you would like to achieve. Candidates for #BreastReduction surgery
are women who wish to have smaller #breasts to achieve a more proportional
appearance or to alleviate physical discomfort. Breast reduction can correct
symptoms from excessively #largeheavybreasts that may cause the inability to do
certain exercises, or create back, shoulder and neck pain, poor posture,
bra-strap shoulder indentations and chafing or rashes under the breasts. Women
experiencing these discomforts may benefit from Breast Reduction, also called #ReductionMammoplasty.
Furthermore, large breasts may interfere with normal daily activities or
exercise and will be more comfortable when reduced. Women who feel that their
excessive breast size decreases a sense of attractiveness and self-confidence,
or results in unwanted attention are also candidates. If you suffer from any of the above negative effects of large breasts, your insurance may cover it, but you will need to check that because insurance companies vary as to what they will cover. Best wishes!

Thank you for your question.  Without photos and more importantly, an in-person evaluation, it is nearly impossible to tell you if you qualify for this procedure.  Based on your description though, it sounds as though you might be.  However, it is highly advisable for you to reach your goal weight prior to surgery to get the best result from the breast reduction procedure.  Be sure that you are seen in person by a board-certified plastic surgeon who will be able to guide you as far as what would be both best and realistic for you.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

Hi theresounds like you are a good candidate but with a couple of conditions:breasts can develop further up to the age of 20-21, so if you are not desperate you could wait till then. Also, it's not a good idea to you lose weight after the op as your breasts will drop, so any weight loss, do it before the surgery..! Worth knowing that a breast reduction is the only op with 100% satisfaction rate in plastic surgery, when performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, and also, the chance of you being able to breast feed is over 80%.good luck!
