Do I need any type of gel for IPL hair removal? I have just purchased the "Remington I-light Reveal hair removal system.

I have PCOS and I have been shaving my chin for about 10 years, the hair is just getting worse as it does when shaving. I am so self conscious of this and my self-esteem has hit rock bottom, I have started having panic attacks when going out in public, that's how bad its got! I cannot afford professional hair laser treatment, which is why I bought this one. I am willing to try anything but have heard so many horror stories of scarring, burns etc. Any advice would be much appreciated!! Thankyou!

Thank you for your question. Some medication can cause your skin to be sensitive to light, this includes lasers. If your treating physician was not sure, then she was correct by being cautious and not going forward with the procedure.
