What you describe is often seen after breast augmentation surgery--this should resolve over the next few weeks. Follow up with your surgeon, however, so that they may examine you and be sure everything is as it should be.
The short answer is YES. When the incision is open to the breast implant pocket, air gets inside and there is always some saline or other liquid placed in the pocket to wash out any bacteria or injured tissue. Not all of this fluid gets resorbed and very little of the air gets absorbed immediately. Then for the next few days to few weeks, it almost feels as though you have bubble wrap inside.Nothing to worry about. Your body will resorb it.
Congratulations on your recent surgery. A bubbly sensation can occur after breast augmentation surgery. This is caused by some air under the skin. This absorbs over the course of 1-2 weeks. If you are concerned, make sure to touch base with your surgeon.
Hello,Thank you for your question. It is common to notice the feeling of a small amount of air & fluid in the implant pocket post op. This will typically be absorbed by the body within a week or two. The majority of your swelling should also be resolved by 2 or 3 weeks post op.Let your Plastic Surgeon know if you have ongoing concerns. All the best
It is common to have some air under the skin after breast augmentation. This gives the bubbly sensation that you describe. This will normally settle within 1-2 weeks.
Yes, what you are experiencing is quite common after breast augmentation surgery. Air “bubbles” can be trapped in the soft tissues (crepitus) or around the breast implant ( creating entertaining noises). You will find that this does resorb and you should be “noise free” within a few weeks.Best wishes.
Yes, this is normal initially after surgery. Some patients will also describe it as a sloshy feel to it. It should go away within a few weeks after surgery.
Air bubbles after breast augmentation are very common and completely harmless. I think lay people get confused about air bubbles being dangerous, but that is only when the air is in the blood stream. That can be very dangerous but it takes a great deal of air to do extreme harm. The air bubbles in your wound are there simply because of an open wound during the procedure. The air is totally absorbed over a short period of timeAll the best,Talmage Raine MD
The sound that you're describing usually results from the mixture of air and some fluid into the pocket that was created during the time of the breast augmentation. Once the implant gets placed, this air can be trapped inside the pocket. After a few weeks both the air and the residual fluid should be absorbed and no further sound will be heard. This is a common phenomenon and is absolutely nothing to worry about. Congratulations on your surgery.
So hard to tell from the photos you submitted. Implants do drop a bit with time. Especially if support is not worn. The other issue is what your skin was like prior to surgery. Do you have children? Did you breast feed? How old are your? Have you had a weight loss? All of these things affect...
Thank you for your question! You are very early in the healing process. It is not unusual to have increased sensitivity in one breast or nipple area. These sensations will typically resolve over time. If the problem has not subsided within a few days, express...
Hello,Thank you for your question. Yes, acrylic nails and polish can interfere with reading your pulse and oxygen during surgery. Most Surgical centres and hospitals will require that you have them removed. I recommend that you discuss this with your Plastic Surgeon to be prepared. All the best
