What are the pros and cons of getting lips dissolved? (Photo)

Hello, as you said, the lumps are not noticeable. There is no danger of having old filler in addition to the new filler you had placed - it will all eventually dissolve away. You can gently massage to smooth out the lumps. Hyaluronidase injections might unpredictably dissolve away more filler than you would like. 

Thank you for your question! The bumps you are referring to are very small and only deep on the inside of the lip. Most people are not going to look inside your lips in the way that you're portraying them in the photographs. I wouldn't worry about it and enjoy the results. Best of luck!

Hello from the US.  I have performed many lip augmentations over the last 12 years, and prefer to use Juvederm Ultra XC or Juvederm Ultra Plus XC (this is how they are branded in the US, names in the UK are a bit different).  Small lumps near the surface, on the inside of the lip, is not uncommon after lip filler. I encourage my patients to evaluate the appearance of the lips when they are closed, and with no to minimal smile, and then again with a full smile.  If these two images fail to show visible lumps, then I prefer not to dissolve any filler.  Your first picture on the left shows beautiful lips!  Our tongue is very sensitive at detecting even small surface variations, alerting you of the lumps on the inside.  There are also a couple of other conditions of the lip that cause lumps, other than filler.  If your lumps are still  present in another 6 months, assuming no additional filler has been used, then a consult with a dermatologist, oral surgeon or plastic surgeon would be a consideration.  Happy New Year!
