Implants removal with lowered folds

Question

Hi, I had my surgery 3 years ago and my surgeon lowered my folds unknown to me 5 months down the line the one breast bottomed out and I also got capsular contracture on the other. Now I'm wondering weather to completely remove. The concern I have is if I replace it may happen again. If I remove implants where will my immfomatry fold scar end up? Will my breasts go back up to there pro lowered position leaving big scars 2cm lower?

After lowering your folds, your implants bottomed out and you got a capsular contracture.  The technique I recommend is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method.  The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery.  The inframammary folds can be re-positioned as desired.  Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Thank you for sharing your question.  In most cases the fold will raise back to it's original position after ra removal.  Without being able too see or feel your tissues, however, it is impossible to give you definite advice.

Your folds may return to their original position when the implants are removed.  I encourage you to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation.  After an examination and discussion of your goals, the proper procedures can be recommended.  If necessary the folds can be surgically corrected.

Usually the lowered fold will raise back up to it's original position. The fold could also be corrected during the removal. You might consider going smaller and positioning the fold in its original location.
