Is there a good Minoxidil product for women that does not contain Propylene Glycol and alcohol?

The newer foam Minoxidil/Rogaine products don not contain Proplylene Glycol. However you might want to consider only using them once a day even though the bottle will tell you to use twice a day. I do not think the alcohol is causing the irritation. I have some patients who actually do both Monoxidil and LLLT.

For people who are sensitive to propylene glycol (one of the components of liquid minoxidil/Rogaine), I often recommend trying the foam minoxidil which is propylene glycol free. For those with other sensitivities, alcohol-free minoxidil/Rogaine formulations also exist for those that find alcohols as an entire class difficult to tolerate. 

The minoxidil foam is probably the best option at this point for you but you will want to seek the direct advice of a physician who knows everything about your hair. Keep in mind that people can be allergic to minoxidil itself although irritation from propylene glycol is more common. If there is any difficulty finding the foam, a compounding pharmacy can make up PG free minoxidil in glycerin water and ethanol.
